I bought it about two months ago.
The assembly was as expected for this kind of chair.
The wood elements have nice color and finish.
The black leather has a very solid yet pliable feel.
The padding is not very thick but works very well for a larger guy like me.
The overall impression is of a sport car seat rather than a sofa.
The black pads that you can see on the arm rests are made of some sort of hard rubber/plastic.
They protect the wood from bumping into the table top.
I have done it many times by now, and the pads take the abuse without a mark.
I really like this chair.
My only concern is that there is a slight wobble (side to side) in the mounting of the chair to its base. I hope it will not get worse.
